Destiny Mobile: New Feature Geo Tour
We are proud to announce a new option for GuardTour Checkpoints: Geo Tour. Read on for more information on how to use it.
Overview
GuardTour was created to allow officers a means to scan a QR code or an NFC tag to verify that an officer is making their rounds on location. We understand that some locations may not have the option of installing a QR code or NFC tag at the physical location. There is also the concern of the codes and tags being removed.
The new Geo Tour feature replaces the codes and tags by using the officer’s location.

Key Features
Location-based GuardTours
The main focus of this new feature is to allow you to set checkpoints for accounts without a physical trigger. With the previous versions of GuardTours, we required employees to scan a QR Code or NFC tag to trigger the checkpoint. Our latest changes now only require that your employees be within a certain proximity to a gps coordinate to trigger the tour event.
Functions Exactly as QR code / NFC Tag GuardTours
The Geo Tour is designed to have the same functionality as the QR code/NFC Tag, meaning the Geo Tour also works with Scan Rules as well as Directives.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How do I configure a Geo Tour location?
You can create the new Geo Tour locations in the Admin portal by selecting the GuardTour option for a selected account under Manage Accounts. Simply create a new GuardTour with the Geo Tour option selected.
How do I use this as an officer?
Your officers simply need to select Geo Tour from the Destiny Mobile platform to use this updated feature. Once they select Geo Tour, if they are in a Geo Toured location, the GuardTour will trigger as it would before.
Is this update available for both Android and iOS?
This new feature is available on both Android and iOS as well as Web Hybrid with GPS capabilities.
