Migrating to the new Scheduling Module

Overview

Destiny Software is proud to introduce our latest update of the Scheduling Module. This new Scheduling Module was designed to be a significant improvement compared to our previous iteration. The new Scheduling Module is designed to replace our previous version of Scheduling. This article will instruct you on how to migrate schedules from the old Scheduling Module to the new one using the new Scheduling Migrator tool.

How to get Scheduling Migrator Tool Screen?

  1. Log in to the Admin Portal

  2. Click on the Scheduling Migrator option under the Time Menu item

    1. This module has two button options

      1. Migrate Button

      2. Migrate & Merge button

1. Migrate Button

This option will transfer scheduling data from the old Scheduling Module to the new one and will delete any data that’s in the new Scheduling Module.

We suggest that you test out the new Scheduling Module before migrating any data, just to get a feel for it’s functionality. Then, once you’re comfortable with the new version, you can use this option to delete all of your test data and replace it with data from the old Scheduling Module.

  1. Log in to the Admin Portal

  2. Click on Scheduling Migrator under the Time Menu item

  3. Click on the Migrate button

    1. A confirmation box will appear, if you click on the Yes button, the system will delete all existing data on the new Scheduling Module then migrate all old Scheduling Module data into the new Scheduling Module.

    2. At this point, the migration is completed.

2. Migrate & Merge Button

This option will transfer scheduling data from the old Scheduling Module to the new one and will combine new and old data into the new Scheduling Module.

  1. Log in to the Admin Portal

  2. Click on the Scheduling Migrator tool under the Time Menu item

  3. Click on Migrate & Merge button

    1. A confirmation box will appear, if you will click on the Yes button, the system will merge the old Scheduling Module data with the new Scheduling Module data.

    2. If there are any conflicts with the new scheduler and old scheduler data then you’ll receive a conflict error that lists the conflicts.

    3. If there are no conflicts, the migration is completed.
