Manage Device Access
Overview
In certain situations, you may wish to limit which devices can log into Destiny Mobile. You may not want your employees to access Destiny Mobile from their personal devices (Android and iOS). We allow you to control employee access to Destiny Mobile by Manage Devices.
This article outlines how to use this feature.
Assumptions
This article assumes the following:
That you've created at least one employee. Reference Adding an Employee in the Admin Portal.
That you are able to successfully log into the Admin Portal.
For the sake of this demonstration
The employee ID we'll be using is "DJR"
Attaining Device ID from Device
To allow specific devices to have access to Destiny Mobile we require a unique identifier located at the login screen of Destiny Mobile as shown below:
Please make note that each device will have a unique Device ID specific to that device.
Registering a Device
After logging into the Admin Portal, in the left navigation area click Manage → Devices. You will be directed to the page below:
Under “Add Device,” input the Device ID from the device you want to add, and the Operating System of the device (Android or iOS) then click the “Add Device” button.
Repeat this process for all devices that you’d like to add. We suggest you input the name of the device here or the officer it belongs to for future reference.
Once the “Enable Device Access Checking” checkbox is selected and the form is saved, any device that is not listed on the Manage Device page will not be able to log into Destiny Mobile.
