Librarian Record Security Changes

Reports that are finalized/completed are known as “Librarian Records.” When a report is finalized/completed, Destiny creates a randomly generated unique string as the record identifier. For example: https://enforce.adam602.com/librarian/ZZRNGQEGZQPSLAVWTDLFRARXVURMRHNGANUMXMFOYOQKPWIBIJLMGYZFDHRCLHGX.

The identifier length ensures that there are 8,387,464,681,021,304,209,408 possible combinations. This creates a method of report security that ensures that it is impossible for someone to simply ‘guess’ the report ID. Anyone who has this URL can view the Librarian Record. The only people that are aware of this identifier are your employees and your clients.

In an effort to even further secure your valuable data, on March 28th, 2022, we will restrict access to Librarian Records to:

• Your admins logged into the Admin Portal.

• Your clients logged into the Client Portal.

• Your employees logged into the Destiny Mobile application.

• Your dispatchers logged into the Dispatch Portal.

In the event that you wish to revert the behavior of Librarian Records to be viewable by all who have the URL, email support@destinysoftware.com or call our office at 888-342-4833. We’ll require that owner of your company fill out a disclaimer before we can re-enable this functionality.

The disclaimer will require that you confirm that you:

• Are requesting that Destiny modify your company’s settings to allow individuals with the Librarian Record’s URL to view that record without authentication.

• Accept all liability and risk associated with allowing unauthorized users to view the Librarian Record.
