Report Review Documentation
Overview
The reports that are submitted to your customers are a representation of the quality of your security firm’s work, and your reputation. The Report Review feature exists so that administrators can ensure the quality and accuracy of reports before they are sent to your customers. Below are some use cases:
You have a particularly sensitive customer, and you want to be sure that all reports sent are reviewed by a supervisor.
You have an officer whose grammar isn’t the best and you want to ensure that it’s proofread.
How Report Review Works
First, we’ll explain the lifecycle of a report without Report Review:
Officer composes and saves report
Officer submits report from the ‘Saved Reports’ section of the app.
The final ‘Librarian’ report is created and emailed to the account associated with the report
In a nutshell, Report Review can be seen as a tollgate. Your officers compose their reports in iOS, Android, Windows, or Web Hybrid. When they Submit their reports, it’s held until it can be reviewed. Below is the lifecycle of a report with Report Review:
Officer composes and saves report
Officer submits report from the ‘Saved Reports’ section of the app
Administrator received a notification via email that a pending report requires attention
Administrator reviewed the reports, makes any needed corrections, and clicks on the ‘Finalize Report’ button
The final ‘Librarian’ report is created and emailed to the account associated with the report – with the corrections made by the administrator
Multiple Report Review Options
We allow you to make granular decisions on when report review should apply and to whom. All of the options expect you to already be logged into the Admin Portal to manage.
Manage → Report Review Options
This method will allow you to Report Review by report type and by account. For example, you may want all arrest reports to require report review, or you may wish all reports going to a particular account to require report review.
