Auto Verification of Permit (when scanning QR code)

At the time a parking permit or safelist is created, a QR code image is attached so that the officer can scan this QR code with any QR code software, and be sent to an online copy of the permit/safelist.

The information shown is viewable by anyone with a QR code reader, and is why we only show basic information, and no personal information of the permit holder / safelistee.

We now have implemented an easy method of verifying if a permit is valid or not.

When scanning this QR code, and going to the page where the online version of the permit is located, the Destiny Software Service will:

  • View when the permit was created
  • Calculate the days the permit is valid
  • Recognize the current date that the permit is being viewed
  • Then display the current date with either a Red, or a Green background behind the current date.

Red = Invalid Permit or Safelist

Green = Valid Permit or Safelist
